We are very excited to welcome you to the city of Wuppertal and Wuppertal University. Being not familiar with the area, you might think of the city as part of the wider Ruhr area, yet, importantly for Wuppertal people the city is part of the Bergisches Land - referring to the green, hilly landscapes surrounding the industrial city.

During conference days you will get to know our modern campus on the top of the hills, you will dine at our historic city hall and get to know some industrial cultural heritage of the surroundings (Zeche Zollverein). Moreover there will surely be time for a ride on the Schwebebahn - the original and more than 100 years old pending train of the town!
